SHEET 01 — CONDITIONS OF WORK

We hire rarely, and carefully.

There is no permanent listing here and no application funnel. When we need someone we say so, and the rest of the time this page exists so you can decide whether the work would suit you before either of us spends an hour finding out.

CONDITIONSPECIFICATION
TEAMSmall. You will not be one of forty people on a ticket queue
SCOPEWhole features, end to end — design decision through to production
REVIEWEverything you write is read by someone else, and you read theirs
WRITINGArchitecture decisions are written down before they are built
OWNERSHIPYour name stays on what you build, internally and in the repository
LOCATIONVadodara, Gujarat. In person, because the work is easier that way

SHEET 02 — SELECTION CRITERIA

What we look for.

Not years of experience. Not a list of frameworks.

01

People who finish things

Starting is easy and common. We care much more about the last ten per cent — the edge cases, the error states, the migration, the thing that makes it actually usable on a Tuesday morning.

02

People who can be argued with

Two of us disagree about most decisions and the product is better for it. You should be able to defend a position with reasons and abandon it when the reasons stop holding.

03

People who read the manual

Depth over breadth. Knowing why a database does what it does beats having heard of nine of them.

04

People early in the story

We are small, and what you build now becomes the thing everyone else builds on. That is either the appeal or the problem, and it is worth being honest with yourself about which.

SHEET 03 — PROCEDURE

How it runs.

Four steps, usually inside two weeks.

  1. 01

    You write to us

A real message, not a mass application. Tell us what you have built and what you want to build next.

  2. 02

    A conversation

An hour, with one of the partners. About your work and ours — not a quiz.

  3. 03

    Something real

A small, paid piece of actual work, or a walk through something you already own. No unpaid take-homes and no whiteboard algorithms.

  4. 04

    A decision

Made quickly, either way, with a reason attached.

SHEET 04 — OPEN POSITIONS

Nothing listed right now.

Which is not the same as nothing available. If the conditions above describe the job you want, write to us with what you have built — we read every one of these ourselves, and a good message has started more than one conversation that had no vacancy behind it.
